  • Comment:
  • Again, Welsh accent.... It's a little hard for me to understand. I think the main stream is all right though, sometimes I can't catch small conversations.
Anyway it starts with a very happy scene of a family taking a photo in their garden. They look so happy and satisfied. But a little later, perhaps the day after Tal's twelfth birthday, we realize his Mum's living somewhere else. It sounds like there are some good reasons why she has to live far away from her family, but actually she met someone and is going to marry him. I kind of understood that feeling.
On the other hand, Tal experienced a miracle with his piano teacher Billy. So he believes in God and attends church, and also tries to heal someone with a miracle. There are a lot of small things that happen and finally he loses his faith because of Billy's death. At school a boy who bullied Tal all the time wanted him to heal his cut right middle finger with prayer. Of course he can't fix it,but the boy comes to trust Tal.
As a story, I didn't get much satisfaction. I mean I wasn't satisfied with this story, this film got some prizes but I didn't really see why.   It was good but not that great.   I learned Tal's dad was in Very Annie Mary, he also played the Dad of the heroine. I'm sure he is one of the most famous actor in Wales.

  • Comment:
  • There is no subtitles, so I couldn't get some part of them because of thick accent.   Story itself is quite simple, I thought first, but in the end, there are some twists.   I expected more complicated human drama though not much.    I heard this film was under low budget.

  • Plot Outline
A London woman's love life and career both hinge, unknown to her, on whether or not she catches a train. We see it both ways, in parallel.
  • Comment
John Hannah & Zara Turner are in this film.   Both of them are from "McCallum".   I actually was disappointed with one of the last scene a little.   The last setting of the woman who could get on the tube at first didn't satisfy me. It was unfair. The woman who tried a lot of things after her traumatic breaking up died in a car accident. I don't get it.

Perhaps I wouldn't have seen this film, if Hugh Laurie wasn't one of the main character.
But it wasn't bad, it was enjoyable.
Recently the technique of CG has developed quite a lot.   It's almost ten years ago, but it looks nice.

I bought this DVD for a long time ago, and finally I watched it. First of all, I was very surprised to see young Ewan McGregor, because I'm not a big fun of him, but he is so nice when he was young, I mean he was fresh, wasn't like now. Anyway the story itself was quite fun, especially the last scene I liked it. I saw many people mentioned about this scene on their blogs.

I bought this DVD for about one year ago. Finally I watched this. Many people recommended me to watch this, so I was so expected, and I was satisfied. At the first of DVD, there was a caution which we could tell nobody the end of this film, because there was a secret. The end of this film, I found the secret, and I wanted to check how it worked. I watched several scenes of this and found it was good. Some of scenes, I couldn't understand or couldn't catch the line, so I watched several scenes with Japanese subtitles.
