I felt a little strange with this film, but it always happen anywhere. Strange thing is the situation. This is based on Tolstoy novel, and it must be written in Russian I guess, but starring were French and English. Of course I know a lot of films which had such kinds of situations, for instance, Japanese China film, Japanese American films.

This film was fantastic. It happen everywhere, generally speaking it's sometimes difficult to translate into other languages, but I found a good translation and it is quite nice. Of course it's owe to Japanese vocabulary though, I like it. Actually I tried to watch this film without Japanese subtitles, but it was impossible. Scottish accent was so hard when they scream or whisper or mumble.

I knew James Spader as a role of a solicitor from the Practice, American law farm drama.    And Eric Stoltz, his face was something familiar to me, but I wasn't sure, so I checked IMDb and found he was in Chicago Hope as Dr. Robert Yeats.
The story itself was a little boring.    I won't watch this again.
