Actually I haven't read this novel yet. I like reading books and I've read most of famous novels, but of course, not all of them. I read other Tolstoy's novels, but not this one.

Anyway it's a story in Russia, so it must be spoken in Russian, but starring was Sophie Maruceau and Sean Bean. French and English.
I know this kind of thing happen all the time anywhere, and they speak their, I mean actor and actress, languages.

I just only know Sophie Maruceau as her name, and I know La Boam made her very famous. I think French actors and actresses can speak English well, but I think French people are very proud of their language, so they keep thier language first.
Sophie's English was perfect, I think. Just I know a few actors who spoke English in Films. One of them is Olivier Martinez from Unfaithful. I couldn't catch some his lines, because of his French accent. The other one is Jean Reno. I only saw one film, but he didn't speak much, so it was OK. And some other people who are not famous or I don't know well, mostly I could tell they were French by their sounds.
